WIISE member events from August to December 2025

Below is our proposed activity plan for Autumn/Winter 2025. We have designed this programme to reflect the interests and ideas shared by WIISE members like you.

We’ve included a few cosy evening visits to local cafés and venues to keep the warm community spirit alive during the colder months.
These dates are for you to mark in your calendar as a ‘save-the-date.’ Final details and confirmations will be shared closer to each event by email and through our WhatsApp Community.

- When a person moves to Finland in a relationship, it brings different challenges for the spouse/partner than for the student, worker or native-Finn.
- WIISE’s latest members coffee evening aims to help them to meet new people, discuss the challenges of moving to as the ‘significant other’ in a relationship, and learn from the experiences of others who moved here previously.
- The WIISE network includes many people who moved here with an international spouse, or as one!
- It’s an opportunity for WIISE members and SEAMK students to bring their spouses along. This event is also open to guests, so if you know someone who has moved to Finland as a spouse or partner, feel free to invite the couple to join us.
