We organise a programme of events during the year for our members. At these meetings, there is an opportunity to meet new people, grow your network, make potential business connections and make new friends. These are the type of activities we arrange:

• Casual ‘After-work Coffee’ get-togethers
• Structured events with an organised group activity
• Official Spring and Autumn meetings
• Relaxed evenings in a bar

Many of our members have lived and worked in Etelä-Pohjanmaa for years or even decades. Over that time we have built up a substantial number of friends, colleagues, partners and contacts. As a member of WIISE, you too can access that network, we are very happy to make useful introductions between WIISE members and our wider network.

We can also offer some mentoring to individual members with a business idea. This could be as soon as you move to Etelä-Pohjanmaa or when you are planning to make a change in your work situation. Whether you need advice, guidance or a job, if we can make introductions we will be happy to do so.

Here are some of the ways we have helped and advised our members during the past year:

• Offering tips to potential members before they move to Etelä-Pohjanmaa
• Welcoming new employees when they start working for our member companies
• Offering advice on starting a new business
• Introducing members to trusted, local service providers e.g. accountants, business advisors, trade services, etc.
• Helping students find work practice places and connecting companies with potential trainees
• Helping people find hobbies and activities
• Making useful introductions within the WIISE network
