After-work Coffee: Moving to Finland as the “Significant Other” Thu 27.11.2025

Understanding the challenges faced by immigrant spouses

When a person moves to Finland in a relationship, it brings different challenges for the spouse/partner than for the student, worker or native-Finn.

WIISE’s latest members coffee evening aims to help them to meet new people, discuss the challenges of moving to as the ‘significant other’ in a relationship, and learn from the experiences of others who moved here previously. It’s an opportunity for WIISE members and SEAMK students to bring their spouses along.

You can come alone, you are not obligated to bring your partner with you 😅

This event is also open to guests, so if you know someone who has moved to Finland as a spouse or partner, feel free to invite the couple to join us.

This event is part of the project Maahanmuuttajayrittäjyydestä pitovoimaa Etelä-Pohjanmaalle.
The project is co-funded by European Union.
